During the summer period operation costs for compressed air installations rise unnecessarily. Due to high ambient temperatures in the compressor room decreases the efficiency of compressors and dryers dramatically. At the same time the number of technical failures potentially increases.
A temperature rise of 10 ° C reduces the compressor efficiency by as much as 3%, and has a negative impact on the service life of the compressor oil which in turn may lead to unnecessary maintenance. The refrigeration dryer efficiency even drops to 30%!
Most of the failures of refrigeration dryers occur during hot days, the dryer has to cool much harder than usual which increases the possibility of a breakdown or of the machine not being able to reach its ful capacity.
